Introduction to Tempered Glass
Tempered Glass, also known as toughened glass, is a type of safety glass that is processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared to normal glass. The process involves heating the glass to a high temperature and then rapidly cooling it. This creates balanced internal stresses that enhance its strength and durability.

Characteristics of Tempered Glass
Strength: Tempered glass is four to five times stronger than standard glass of the same thickness.
Safety: When broken, tempered glass shatters into small, blunt pieces that are less likely to cause injury, making it a safer option.
Heat Resistance: Tempered glass can withstand higher temperatures and sudden temperature changes without breaking.

Impact Resistance: It has greater resistance to impact and mechanical stress.

Manufacturing Process

Rapid Cooling: The heated glass is rapidly cooled using high-pressure air jets, a process known as quenching. This rapid cooling creates balanced internal stresses, giving the glass its enhanced properties.
